Subject: on-site training request in hospital settings for infection prevention and control
Dear Marika,
I would like to kindly address you on behalf of Dr. Tamar Gabunia.
We deeply appreciate
dedicated efforts and support of the US Embassy and CDC rendered to the Government of Georgia for the prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic.
The Ministry together with the respective State institutions of Georgia takes all necessary measures to reduce dramatic spread of the infectious
disease. It should be noted that infection prevention and control in healthcare settings is of critical importance. Therefore, we kindly request your support in conducting on-site trainings (the rule of using PPE and further monitoring) for health care personnel
in hospital settings identified for the management and treatment of COVID-19 positive patients and guidance on general infection control mechanisms in these hospitals.
Thank you once again for your support and continued partnership.
With best regards,
Maia Nikoleishvili MPA
