Dear Volkan and Maddalena,

 

I would like to bring to your attention an offer for three (3) products from Hillrom (www.hillrom.com), a leading provider of medical technologies for the health care industry including hospital beds, patient lifts, non-invasive therapeutic products, and other health care equipment: (i) Laryngoscopes, 1 model; (ii) Otoscopes (halogen), 1 model; and (iii) High-flow delivery system (ventilators), 1 model. The attached Hillrom Offer Summary sheet outlines the contracted models, key features, pricing, and other contract terms for each proposed device. Detailed specifications of the offered products are attached in the file: Hillrom Brochure Pack. Please note that the pricing for each offered product will expire Thursday December 31, 2020.

 

Most, but not all, contracted products meet or exceed World Health Organization and ECRI (Emergency Care Research Institute) developed baseline technical performance specifications. WHO/ECRI baseline technical specifications for the offered products are outlined in Annex 3 of the Hillrom Offer Summary sheet; a more detailed review conducted by ECRI is provided in Annex 4. As an additional resource, please also find attached the latest BFP side-by-side ventilator comparison table.

 

We encourage the Borrower country to confirm their interest in the products offered by Hillrom by completing the Registration of Interest Form (ROI Form) as soon as possible. An early confirmation of the products and quantities will help us assure product availability. Hillrom will then quickly advise the precise lead times, CIP/CPT prices, and training and service details, after which the Borrower will have 5 days to sign a contract to procure the products.

 

Other Terms

Pricing:               Quoted prices are in US Dollars (USD), are recorded in the attached Registration of Interest Form (ROI Form), and:

• include warranty (as specified in the attached Offer Summary sheet);
• include installation and training videos (no onsite training); and
• are Ex Works.

 

Please note that CIP/CPT prices will be established once the destination and unit volume are established.

                            

Delivery Time:   Deliveries will be phased, subject to the date of the order. Final dispatch dates will be provided upon receipt of the completed ROI Form.

                            

Training:             User training, where provided, is included in the price and is offered either in-country, by video or video link, or is web-based using a train-the-trainer approach. In-country training may be an option for some countries and specific products; Hillrom will confirm upon receiving the completed ROI Form.

                       

Service:               Service and support for Laryngoscopes are to be provided by the service center in the Netherlands. Service and support for the Life2000 Ventilation System are to be provided by the service center in the United States.

Manuals:            Printed user and service manuals will be provided with each piece of equipment. Manuals are available in English.

 

Next Steps

1. Borrower country completes and returns the attached Registration of Interest Form (ROI Form) with the following information:

1. Quantity of each product required.
2. Single delivery destination.
3. Identify your country’s accepted contract signing protocols (e.g. e-signature, scanned signature).

 

2. E-mail the completed ROI Form and send to Mukesh Chawla, copying Gabby and John as soon as possible. Please note that the pricing for each offered product will expire Thursday December 31, 2020.

 

3. OPCS will forward the ROI Form to Hillrom and draft the contract for the Borrower.

 

4. OPCS will send the contract to the TTL, copied to the Country Procurement Specialist (CPS), so they can add final local details (e.g. legal name of Purchaser, name of signatory, etc.).

 

5. TTL (supported by the CPS) presents the final contract to the Borrower for their decision and signature, after which the Borrower will have 5 days to sign a contract to procure the products. Prior to the signing of the contract, please ensure that the Borrower has signed the Bank Facilitated Procurement (BFP) letter.

 

6. If the Borrower signs the contract, please send the signed contract to John, copy Mukesh and Gabby.

 

7. OPCS will work with Hillrom and return a signed copy of the contract to the Borrower, copying the TTL.

 

If the Borrower decides not to proceed or sign the contract (which is fine) please send an email (with the reason) to me, copying Gabby and John.
