Dear Nika,

Upon your request we would like to kindly inform you that in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization, the LEPL Regulation Agency for Medical and Pharmaceutical Activities in February conducted an assessment of hospitals readiness in terms of infection control and evaluated conditons and quantity of the ventilators and number of qualified medical staff. In total, 297 inpatient facilities (86% privately owned) operate across the country with 17,514 beds, out of which 2,290 are for intensive care and emergency medical services and own 2043 operating or reserved ventilators. 1749 are suitable for the management of respiratory distress syndrome.

Dear Nika,

Please find attached the Georgian version of:

1.       Daily report of epidsituation of COVI-19 what NCDC is sending to the Government;

2.       COVID-19 report (second overview) as 11.06.20.

They are in Georgian but you can find interesting for you data except beds in hospital and in intensive care units as well as ventilators (Ministry should provide).

If it is urgently we can translate firs document today, the second one needs a time.

With best regards

Amiran

Dear Dr. Amiran,

I hope you are doing well and safe. We would be grateful if NCDC could provide the EUD with the updated statistics on the COVID-19  as several EU Member State Ambassadors are interested to get it:

-          numbers of tests done in Georgia (as we understood 30 000 rapid tests purchased through WHO on 20/5; 40 000 PCR tests and 20 000 antibody tests arrived on 29/4 etc, but interested in  actual testing statistics

-          number of available beds in hospitals (and specifically in intensive care)

-          contact tracing – we heard about the odd cases without reported contact (how many in total)

-          possibly other stats

We thank you and NCDC colleagues in advance for  providing their updated answers to our questions,

Nika
