Subject: financial grants for public health facilities

Dear Tamar,
I am sure that ongoing cooperation is going smoothly. Thanks for your engagement. Nevertheless, I have another challenge:

The Czech Republic allocated 1 million EUR for EaP countries to fight COVID-19. Some of this amount will be spent in Georgia and the tied financial grants for health facilities will be used. Max two projects can be prepared in Georgia, each project for approximately 180 000 EUR. Eligible are public health institutions.

We have a strict limitation on eligible suppliers. They should be from the Czech Republic. It means we have also limitation on scale of medical devices, see offer bellow..

I would like present the offer to these facilities: NCDC, Rukhi hospital, TSMU (Gudamakari st. hospital), Lisi lake Universal hospital, Military hospital. The negotiation will be transparent for MoIHLSA. Please, send me your comment. I am available for phone consultation.

The procedure is as follows. The Czech Embassy shares the offer of Czech Health Solution with the interested beneficiary facility. The beneficiary fills the short project form with request specification (deadline 10th May). Then the project has to be approved in Prague and Embassy will publish the demand and prepare the shortlists of companies. The shortlist will be shared with the beneficiary for the final selection of the supplier. Then the Czech Embassy will send financial means to the beneficiary and the beneficiary will pay the supplier directly.

The lists of available health devices and material are in the attachment, specific information for each item is available for download here:

As you can see, there is not very strict relation to Covid19.

Kind regards,

Jan Černík
