Subject: Invitation to the Launch of the UN Network on Migration

Sent on behalf of Dr. Sabine Machl, UN Resident Coordinator

Dear Colleagues and Partners,

On behalf of the UN Country Team Georgia, I am pleased to invite you to the launch of the UN Network on Migration which will take place on Tuesday, 30 June (14:00 – 15.30) via Blue Jeans link: https://bluejeans.com/141517231

The UN Country Team establishes the UN Network on Migration to facilitate effective, timely and coordinated UN system-wide actions supporting and contributing to migration management in Georgia in line with the Government of Georgia’s 2016-2020 Migration Strategy and the upcoming 2021-2030 Migration Strategy where a common UN system approach would add value.

Coordinated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission to Georgia, the UN Network on Migration will work closely with the Government of Georgia and all relevant international organizations and non-governmental organizations dealing with migration issues in Georgia, to support policy and approaches ensuring well-being of migrants, returnees, members of their communities and society as a whole.

Please find attached the Terms of References (TOR) of the UN Network on Migration in Georgia.  The agenda will be shared shortly.

Kindly confirm your availability by Friday, 26 June COB to tmamulashvil@iom.int .

Looking forward to your participation,

Sabine Machl
