Dear CCM Chair and Vice-Chair

Dear CCM Secretariat

As part of the processes linked to new funding requests submissions, the Global Fund has decided to use the Light Eligibility and Performance Assessment (Light EPA) strategy to evaluate CCMs’ compliance with Eligibility Requirements 3 - 6 as defined in the Country Coordinating Mechanism Policy approved by the Global Fund Board on 10 May 2018.

The Light EPA is a CCM-led simplified process that includes (i) a Self-assessment and (ii) the development and endorsement of an Improvement Plan.  A detailed Guidance Note describing the assessment process and the Tool to be used for such purpose (which also includes specific instructions for completion and submission) are available here and are also attached to this email.

Please note that the Light EPA process must be completed by the CCM and submitted to the Global Fund before Funding Request submission.

Under normal circumstances we request full CCM membership endorsement, however, given either time constraints due to urgent funding request processes, or COVID-19 restrictions, the following flexibilities are granted.

The Global Fund deeply appreciates the CCM’s support in undertaking this effort. For any questions about the Light EPA process, please write to your Country Team, copying the address epa@theglobalfund.org.

Best regards,

Rosalie
