In 2016-2017, within the framework of cooperation with the American side, employees of the Investigative Department of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia participated in trainings organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration of the US Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Office of Legal Cooperation and Immigration Customs of the US Department of Homeland Security.
In accordance with the agreements signed between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the US Department of State, an interdepartmental commission was established in Armenia within the framework of the Biological Participation Cooperation Program (BAP), chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and headed by the National Security Council of the Republic of Armenia. The central laboratories of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as 5 regional laboratories of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia were renovated, built and technically equipped by the State Agency for Risk Reduction in the Field of Defense (PAA). In 2018, the work of the US Department of State within the framework of CONH will continue in terms of training employees of the laboratory unit of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the implementation of a scientific program.
Within the framework of cooperation with the U.S. Department of State's Drug Enforcement Administration, seminars and consultations were organized in the United States, Georgia and Armenia, as well as business trips to Bulgaria and the Dominican Republic.
The Border Troops of the National Security Council of the Republic of Armenia cooperate with US partners under the "Agreement on Cooperation between the Government of Armenia and the United States in the field of countering nuclear weapons" (signed on July 24, 2000; extended on May 19, 2009) և "The US Department of Defense National National Security Service Agreement on cooperation in the field of border security and the prevention of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction " (signed on 22.05.2012).
The cooperation of the US Department of Homeland Security within the framework of the Export Control and Border Security Program (AVSA) began in 2001, and since 2011 within the framework of the International PWM Program of the US Department of State for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction.
As a result of the implementation of the two mentioned programs, the National Security and Defense Council of the Republic of Armenia was provided with transportation of personnel, cargo transportation, as well as rapid response vehicles, engineering equipment, video surveillance of the state border, communications, weapons of mass destruction detection and other technical means.

In 2016-2017, the following measures were taken as part of the U.S. Department of State's International Program to Combat the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.
